World Class Debate Instructors

At New Era Academy, we carefully assemble an elite list of instructors and are both experienced and care about debate passionately. Our teachers come from every continent in the world and each bring their own perspectives to debate.

Our instructors have been teaching with us for years and build long term friendships with our debaters.

Competitive Debate Instructors

James Alexander Carr

Alex studies computer science and finance at MIT, where he received the highly selective Dean's Fellowship (<1% acceptance rate). He coached the Czech debate team to rank top 5 in Europe and top 20 in the world.

Christopher Hojem

Chris Hojem is one of the most experienced WSDC and WIDPSC coaches in the world. He co-coached the South African WSDC team and has judged for both WSDC and WIDPSC.

Alexandr Sušić

Three time captain of Czech Republic National Debate Team WSDC. He was also the coach for the Czech national WSDC team and has been accepted to work at Blackrock in 2024
